Welcome Donny. Even those of you in Rhode Island are entitled to the same rights as the rest of us. In your case, as in a few other states, your local government has seen fit to override the Constitution by denying some of its citizens their right to keep and bear arms. Hang in there, maybe one day even Rhode Island will have to stop violating the highest law of our land.

No idea whether it will help for your home state attempt but - IIRC you should be able to apply for and get non-res PA but FL requires some proof of ''training'' as well as I think the ability to show a copy of your home state permit. Not sure on UT.

Donny, welcome from a few miles North (MA)!

Pay a visit to the regional forum in my Sig line and check (use Advanced Search) the Gun Laws forum there wrt RI.

I do suspect that NES has at least one firearms attorney on-board who is licensed in RI, although if it is who I think it is, he's rather acerbic to deal with.

    Good luck.
