    Greetings from the Rhode Island

    Hey all ,

    my name is Donny , I'm currently not packing due to my state being a " may issue state " but , I registered on the forum to pick up good info and insight to obtaining my cc permit , I am a vivid range shooter and gun collector .. I got quite an interesting collection so far , I do however travel with my gun to , from & at work , which is better then nothing ..I own & operate AfterDark motoring which is an automotive performace shop, hopefully I can politic with alot of members on the forum who share the same interest as I do ..

    any help and insight from guys who has obatin there CCW in a "may issue state " would greatly be apperiated ..

    and to the rest who has obtained already .. I envy your rights to bear arms...

    Welcome from Alabama. Alabama is a may issue state that is for the most part shall issue. The sheriff has the determination, but the department keeps the fee except for $1.00 so most will issue to anyone who is eligible. Where else can the Sheriff's department get $19 without doing anything for it? Not all counties charge $20, but most do. A few charge $10. This is per year, so they also like renewals.
