    Noob from Utah

'Sup dudes? New guy from Utah here. Just got into concealed carrying a while back. My gun of choice is a Taurus 24/7 9mm. I'd rather not get into the debate about 9mm, thanks. We'll save that for another time. Suffice it to say that 9mm works for me at the time being, bigger bullets are likely to enter the equation further down the road.

I joined this site as a part of my quest for a decent IWB holster. I first started liking the Milt Sparks VM2. After seeing their current 6 month lead time, I started looking for alternates. I'm really starting to put my eye towards the UBG Striker I or Canute. Main difference that I can see is in the clip system. Leather loops, or clips. Not really sure which way to swing there. Anyhow, since UBG is local, I'ma have to support my peeps.

Any advice for a newb around here?

    Thanks everyone

Hi from Fort Worth TX! I'm still looking for the perfect holster for my Walther PPS.

From what I've read, UBG is a good choice. I'm sure others will join in too!

First of all welcome. As far as the 9mm debate, you really are not going to get much of that on this site. Just don't compare anything to a glock and you should be fine. as far as the holsters go, I prefer leather with snaps as opposed to clips, but some of the newer retention clips are pretty nice. You'll only hear good things about UBG holsters as they are a great company.

Not really much advice from me on the holsters, since I don't own any of the models you asked about, but welcome from Middle Tennessee!
