I am 59, Vietnam Veteran, NRA Life member and basic firearms instructor.
I shoot most types of firearms, time allowing, including Sporting Clays, service rifles, muzzle loaders, BPCR, and single action. Currently only compete in Sporting Clays.
I reload most everything, hunt some, and fly fish when the mood strikes. If I can get there on my Indian MC, all the better.
Like many, I am in need of much more practice with my personal defensive firearms. Big fan of the 1911, but admit to owning several S&W's. I am currently considering IDPA competition, and if the old body can stand it, 3 gun games of some type.
I am interested in defensive survival tactics, and imparting the latest proven methods and information to my students. I feel I have succeeded if I can point them in the right direction while ingraining safe gun handling.
(Oh ya, and I talk too much.)
