Wow. Guys thank you very much. I wasn't expecting 3 pages of welcomes, it is very nice to see and very surprising. I have not had a chance to handle the XD. I went to a local gun shop yesterday but they were PACKED. They've been pounding the airwaves and I guess it is paying off. Waited around for awhile but no one was available to help. I'm reading up on a few Walthers and the XD but that can only go so far. The only true test is how they handle. The 1911 is nice but a bit heavy and long. I'd have to look into a compact model
