Hello for South Carolina!
I got started shooting as an 11-year old. My mom's boss had a farm in eastern Oklahoma and took me shooting with his son. We shot .22 rifles, shotguns and, at the end, a S&W 19 and the most beautiful .22 pistol I had ever seen. It was a Belgium Browning Challenger with the wrap around grip. I didn't know it at the time, but I am left eye dominant. I hit everything I pointed that Challenger at. It was made for me.
At the end of the day, we dropped by Wal-Mart and he bought an Outters .22 cleaning kit on the way home. We went to his house and he walked us through cleaning all of the guns. He took me back home and went in to talk to my parents privately. They called me in an he gave the the Challenger and the new cleaning kit! He said since I shot it so well, I should have it.
In the intervening 36 years, I have run a railroad car of CCI through that gun. Much of it with a good friend of mine in Texas. Two years ago, I took my boys out with my old friend on a visit to Texas and they caught the bug. (He brought three Kimber .45s, S&W 29. AR-15, AK, a Neos and a .45 XD) After we convinced the boss (Mom), we started with a new 10/22. Then an 870 for each of the boys....
Now, I have quit golf and we do guns!
When buying the 870's for Christmas this year, I got an NICS hold both times.... Started looking at a CCW to avoid that in the future (golf club money = gun money). Found this site and LOVE IT.
Glad to be here, boss.
Sorry for the long post.

Welcome from Pennsylvania. Quit golf for guns? Nice! If I could only convince the principal at our office that business can be conducted at the target range rather than on the back nine...
