Wow, big forum you got here! I got my license summer 07 and have heard good things about DC at the Ohio forum where I've been a member since 6/07. I'm a 48 y/o husband and father, and work on retail store security systems, CCTV and the like. I lived in Tx in the eighties before moving back home to NE Ohio in 92 to "settle down." It must have worked, my 10th wedding anniversary is this year, and after decades of playing in rock bands, I'm now music director at my church. I bought my first pistol, (and training), in reaction to the 91' Luby's shooting, (I used to eat there.) The VT shooting convinced me to carry it everywhere I can. The learning curve has been fascinating. I'm a Hi Power guy. I recently purchased a Ruger single six to shoot for fun, (cheaply), and get me to the range weekly. My goal this summer is to attend Tactical Defense Institute in southern Ohio.

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.

There is only one tactical principle which is not subject to change. It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of wound, death, and destruction on the enemy in the minimum amount of time."
