Greetings from the Gunshine State of Florida

I feel priveliged to live in a state that recognizes the citizens right to bear arms. We are fortunate to honor the castle doctrin and laws that say a citizen does not have to retreat from a threat but can use deadly force if he fears for his or her life. I'm 71 years old which makes me too old to fight a BG and too damn proud to run from him, and I shall defend myself.
I served 32 years in the United States Navy the high point of my career was as a SAR (Search And Rescue) Wetsuit man/ door gunner in a UH1N Helo plucking downed Naval Aviators from the sea and transporting wounded Marines and Soldiers to the Hospital Ship during the Viet Nam war--yep I said war. I loved every minute of my service and would be in Afganistan today if I could but alas no war for an old man.

We may have chewed some of the same dirt and swallowed some of Davey Jones' brew together, I got to visit both of the Navy's cruise ships (Sanctuary & Repose) while vacationing in SEA about your time. Good to have an old salt aboard!
