Welcome from Alabama, Byron. Although others are right that it is easier to move than to change the minds of politicians, that is not the American way of doing things is it? We are a hardheaded and stubborn lot. We will push, shove, punch, claw, kick, bite, scratch, and whatever else it takes to get things changed. It was only a few years ago that few states had conceal carry laws that worked now 38 have shall issue laws and 48 at least have laws that technically allow it. My state of Alabama has a may issue law that is for all practical purposes a shall issue law. Find like minded friends and start organizing. Politicians don't really have convictions usually. No matter how much they "believe in" something most of the time that belief will change when it becomes a liability - one that might cost him the next election. They are real good at reading the handwriting on the wall and making a change of position that keeps them on top. As was said above good luck on your quest.
A Big Howdy from Dallas ... so you are planning to run for Gov? All kidding aside, gather your firearms friends and find a state rep who is on your side, and watch it take off. Good Luck.
