It's my first time...
So my husband just bought me my first gun today. It's a SKYY CPX-1 9MM. We got it at a gun show for $275. It's a really nice gun, He told me that he's taking me to shoot it tomorrow. I'm a little nervous because the only thing I've ever shot is a shot gun. My husband he already owns a 45 XD and a little .357 pug. I've been around them for about 4 years thanks to him. But those are the basics retaining the guns. Hello everyone from the first timer.

No reason to be nervous. Shooting a handgun is no big deal, just remember the rules of safety and everything will be fine.

welcome and congrats. Soon you will buy more guns and spend more on ammo and gas to the range and range fees. Its unavoidable unfortunately because shooting is just too addicting. But its worth every penny and will definately bring you two closer.

She seams to be really excited to shoot her first pistol, but like she said, a little nervous. I think that she will do just fine. I was teaching her how to disasemble the weapon and offered to clean the barrel and she said "NO, I want to do it!". I got me a good one!!

Whenever you pick up any gun, 'muscle memory' should automatically have your finger up on the slide...EVERY TIME!
