    going south

    Hi

    I'm currently living in Edmonton, Alberta but intend to emigrate to Savannah sometime within the next year.

    Being a Canadian, with its draconian gun laws, I never really gave any serious thought to owning a gun let alone concealed carry. Anticipating the move to Georgia has opened a new world to me.

    I guess the downside is going to be trying to learn to wade through all the regulations. The upside is rather exciting. I firmly believe any idiot can carry a gun but to do it effectively takes knowledge and training.

    It's also exciting to have the opportunity to own what amounts to in some cases finely crafted, functional, artwork.

    So that's why I'm here.

    Looking forward to meeting you and getting in on the discussions.

    Welcome! Hope your move to the great south goes well. I think you'll like it. I know alot of folks in Georgia. Never met them, but I know them just the same. Well, I did meet a few of them in St Louis 2006.

    Welcome from Texas! The regulations are not that cumbersome. It really just comes down to not carrying where you aren't allowed and not shooting somebody for a dumb reason.

    You'll get used to them in no time. Welcome to the free world, at least until November, anyway.
