The old Nebraskan
I hail from rural NW Nebraska. I grew up on a Ranch/Farm near Crawford. Started shooting .22 when I was 8, and by 10 was shooting the 30-30 Winchester.
When I was 18 my first handgun was a Remington BP .44 but the real revolver came after I graduated from High School and my mom bought a Ruger Super Blackhawk for me, and I shot it a lot. Handloaded my ammunition and would burn through around 200 or so rounds a day. Back then it cost me about a penny a shot. I cast bullets (was already used to that with the Black Powder), and a friend had a re-sizer/lubricator that we used. Got pretty good at it out to about 100 yrds hunting Jack Rabbits.
Shot a lot though the Ruger .22 auto pistols later on in life. Sometimes around 500-1000 rounds a week. For being a pistol, it shot extremely well for accuracy.
Moving forward, I lived in Seattle and worked for Boeing there. During that time I had a FFL and did some pistolsmithing on the side, while working at Boeing as a machinist. Shot and sold some very interesting pistols during that time frame.
Now I have a Bersa .380 Thunder and am very surprised at the accuracy and reliability and overall workmanship of the pistol. Looking forward to getting either the 9mm hi capacity, or the .45 ACP in this make of pistol (Bersa) in the future.
Great to hear the Second Amendment confirmation vote by the Supreme Court Ruling. Hope it helps!

A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.

Well, ya could be in the middle of Scottsbluff or Alliance and have to drive...oh say 10 minutes to get to someplace to shoot.
