Hello from the land of Hobbits (NZ)
Hi there, ive had a few posts and questions up already, but thought I better officially introduce myself before I become a regular on the forums.
My name is Heylin (32) from New Zealand.
My partner and I have been pistol shooting for nearly 2 years now and love it. Just about to go for our holster qualification** so we can participate in some action shooting events.
** In NZ you need to do a holster safety course before shooting loaded from the hip.
We both shoot 9mm, I have my Para 18-9 LDA ltd, and my partner recently got a Taurus PT99, we also use a S&W Model 44 (.22) for 25M target shooting. I must say the new PT99 is much better than Beretta 92 (finish is great, and the safety\decocking level off the slide is a good improvment).
Even though we arent permitted to carry guns for self defence here, Im sure you guys can help me out now and then with technical questions and ive always got some interesting (and contrasting) stories relating to NZ Gun law and recent crime in our country.
Look forward to talking to you all.

Welcome, glad to see this place draws a crowd from all over.
The muzzle end of a .45 pretty much says, "Go Away" in every language.

Well actually a Canadian living in NZ, but been here all my life, so techinically a Kiwi I suppose.
Quite a few pistol owners in NZ actually (surprised me when I first joined our club), we have about 400 at our club alone. Even more people own rifles and shotguns.

Welcome from South Carolina.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
