Reporting from Mass.
While browsing I found this forum and decided it was a very good place to visit. Me? I'm a midwest transplant in New England, Viet Nam vet, AARP eligible (but resigned because of their anti-second ammendment stance), and happily married. I shoot regularly (practice) and carry daily. I'm always interested in training and "games" that will improve my skills (mental and shooting). Thanks for providing this forum.

WW - welcome
Yes do let us know your preferences re platform, rigs etc.
I like you am (very) AARP elligible but wrote them to say to stop sending me mail junk - as I would never join owing to their gun attitudes. Never heard any more since and don't expect to!

We in NH are very lucky to live in a State that allows us to own everything ..

Thanks for the welcome!
What a great place. To answer a few questions. I carry a Sig P229 (.40 S&W) in a Milt Sparks VMII. I already have my NH and ME permits, and I'm doing the paperwork for Florida. I enjoy pin shoots, steel plates, and IDPA. Thanks, again for the responses. Be safe and be ready...

Welcome Windwalker!
This is the best forum out there for CCW issues.
Here are some other good resources for those of us in MA or other Northeastern States.
- www.neshooters.com - internationally respected trainers being brought to the MA/NH area each year. Site is run by some friends of mine and I've taken 4 defensive handgun courses over the past 2 years with them (Jim Crews, Randy Cain and Gabe Suarez).
- www.northeastshooters.com - forums for those of us in the Northeast area of US. Owned by a good friend and I'm one of the Mods there.
MA is indeed unique, but once someone has a LTC-A/ALP permit, we have more freedom on where we can carry than many other so-called "free states". Most don't believe it, but we can CCW in places that sell liquor, banks, public buildings (as long as they don't have security checkpoints in place), churches, places of public assembly, "no guns allowed" signs have NO legal significance, etc.
So I hope you enjoy it here on CC, it is a great group of folks with lots of knowledge. I also hope you check out the other resources above.
