Police cadet from Texas
Hi, I'm Eric Killian. I'm currently a cadet in the Houston area and I graduate from the academy in February. I have a Glock 22, which I just got Saturday and fired for the first time today and I also have a S&W 642 which I purchased early this year. (Is that a 642 in the top right of the banner?) anyways just wanted to introduce myself after lurking for a few days.

It looks similar, but the metal around the ejector rod looks different than mine. So... I don't know.
Best wishes at the academy.

Hey, Eric. Congratulations on the challenging and rewarding career choice! Lots of LEO's and former LEO's here, on DCcom.

disarming victims
reduce the number of victims?

It's not a 642. Trigger is different too.
Welcome to the Forum.
I sure hope you are more CHL Friendly than others in your Department when you get out on Patrol and don't do dumb things like disarming a CHL holder for no good reason and then have to let him show you how to clear a 1911 without shooting yourself in the foot.
Also, it is not necessary to run a serial number check on a weapon being carried by a Law Abiding Citizen.
Us CHL'ers take issue with having our serial numbers in anyone's database.
