Howdy from NC
Hi, I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I'm a former LEO who was on top of my game several years ago and lost it and am now looking for it again. No, i didn't loose my mind, i lost my desire after a shooting incident. I won't go into details but basically i became disenfranchised by the whole investigation process, mishandling by the media, and a general lack of understanding by the public at large about police tactics. I soon left law enforcement on good terms of my own choosing but was so discouraged that i withdrew from tactics and guns all together. I became a sheep as you guys say. I went day to day for years thinking everything's fine and just hoping nothing bad would happen. Thankfully nothing bad has happened, but i have finally been jolted from my slumber. I am currently waiting on my initial ccp to arrive and gathering tons of info from this site. So much has changed since i've been away. Guns have gotten smaller and more reliable. I currently own a Ruger SP101 9mm and am looking to beef my supply back up. On my short list is a Kahr pm9 and a Sringfield xd9. Sorry for the long intro, but it feels good to be regaining my edge and not just hoping i won't be another victim.

Hey Neighbor! Welcome to the forum from South Carolina. Glad to have you!
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
