Hello from New Mexico. I'm new to the world of CCW so I've got lots of reading to do here before I make a complete fool of myself and start posting. After a 25 year layoff to do the family/career thing I decided to renew a couple of hobbies I've missed. Shooting and motorcycle touring. The bike is paid for and getting well used and the pistol collection is started. I currently have an older J-frame 38spcl serial number J-2XXX that my wife is partial too. I'm currently building a Sig P250 in 9mm and .40 as all the different sizes make it to the market. My range gun for now is a 6" stainless 686 serial number ADF6XXX. I'd like to find out a little more on the history on the two S&W's so if someone could steer me in the right direction to track down thos serial numbers I'd appreciate it.

Welcome to the forum.
The only help I can offer to research the guns is S&W's website:
Weapon History Request - Smith & Wesson
Looks like they charge $50 per gun, though. There members with informational books that might chime in, though.
