It's not, I have to "ask" Erie County to change it. I was advised to ask for Hunting and Target to reduce the chance I might be turned down. It's a fuzzy point seeing as it is a NYS license, what jurisdiction does Erie County have to "restrict"
Either way, I'll ask to have it changed based on the value of my instrument I'm carrying most of the time,($10K) same as any business person would be if they carried cash or payroll with them. And I've had it for 6 years now.

Wishing the best of luck on getting the restriction lifted. Unrestricted CCW should be the norm when you think about it. Monroe county gives me an unrestricted and I can CCW in Buffalo. But Buffalo won't issue unrestricted by default. Messed up system we have.

A violin? Is that one of them there small fancy guitars that you play with a stick? Just kidding, welcome from Kentucky! (The closest skill I have related to "the arts" is singing in the shower... if you want to call what I do a joyful noise). Glad to have you aboard and looking very forward to your posts on here.
