My name is Scott.
I just recently applied for my firearms permit, so now the wait begins.
For me the permit is more for a shotgun and being from Jersey, I can't get a concealed carry permit easily anyway. Although I'll also need it for my BB gun (which is a pistol, and in NJ you need a firearms permit for BB guns).
I have looked at the forum a little and it seems like a good source for info.

Welcome from northern Michigan!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down & lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, & may posterity forget you were countrymen.
Welcome from South Carolina.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
