Man and wife from Wisconsin
My name is David, and my wife is Leah. I'm originally from Pennsylvania, where open carry was permit-free and acknowledged as a legal right. She grew up in central Wisconsin and we hate that we can't carry at all here.
I've been a gun owner for a year now, she's been a gun owner for 3 days. I'm proud of her: she's got a nicer firearm than I do now. AK-47 versus my 12 gauge shotgun. Eh, either one would get the job done, but hot diggity hers looks nice. All I need to do now is buy a house of my own so I can have a Great Dane. Nice big doggy to make sure no one but me ever touches my wife. Plus come on now, dogs are fun to wrestle with, and when you're in the 6'0"+ club (I'm 6'4"), you just can't wrestle with a Pekinese or a Chihuahua.
We are both Seventh-day Adventists, which means we are servants of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I can't say any more about this in the text of my introduction or the mods (understandably) have to nuke my post, but I'd invite anyone with questions about it to contact me privately. You're welcome to send me hate mail if you feel that is needed. I'd much rather get friendly messages though.
Finally, we are both Constitutionalists. If you haven't heard of the Constitution Party, they are a group dedicated to electing officials who uphold and defend the Constitution and who believe that our rights are God-given and unalienable, as opposed to just unalienable. Again, can't say any more than that. I only mention it to let you know where we stand so you can decide if we are allies or not.
We love people, but hate that folks are so misinformed on so many topics. Let's just say we aren't fans of watching mass media. We prefer www.thepowerhour.com's radio broadcast, The Power Hour. Excellent alternative media as well as naturopathic health news. Very cool and highly recommended. I've never once regretted taking the time to listen.
God bless you all,
David & Leah

Welcome from Utah.
I'm originally from Pennsylvania, where open carry was permit-free and acknowledged as a legal right. She grew up in central Wisconsin and we hate that we can't carry at all here.
BTW ... IF you got a Florida or Utah non-resident permit and moved to La Crescent, MN .. you could atleast carry in MN and some of the other surrounding states. It's only a short trip across the river to La Crosse.

Welcome from South Carolina.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
