Hello to Everyone: Did some searching this morning on google and found your Great Forum.
The wife and I just qualified yesterday and passed our concealed carry licenses course.
We both have grew up hunting, so we kinda new our way around rifles and shotguns, but for handguns that was a different animal.
We both felt that times are slowly changing, and felt that having that extra self defense training to protect ourselves and our family was a smart choice.
For my wifes first concealed carry, I bought her a semi-auto 9mm. I know alot has been said about the 9mm for self defense, but she felt really comfortable with the 9mm. Maybe next yr, I will get her a revolver. I felt kinda sceptical about buying a Taurus, but after hours of qualifying, her Taurus was the only handgun in our group of 20 that didn't jam or have some type of malfunction. Maybe the ammo had something to do with it?
I myself am looking at a .40 S&W right now. Will probably buy in a couple of days.
But anyway--just want to drop in and say hello.
I'm glad I stumbled across your forum.
I look foreward to dropping in a few times a week and learning more from all of you.
The wife and I still have alot to learn about handguns, as well as self defense ammo.
GodBless All--->We really need it more then ever now.
