    Hello from Las Vegas, NV

This afternoon I qualified with my Glock 26 here in Las Vegas. My gun class is scheduled for this Wednesday. I don't see a problem with the LVMPD approving my CWP. My question is as follows. Should I just apply for a Nevada CCW permit as well as a Utah CCW permit.
I never anticipated applying for both states but Utah has more state that honor their CCW permits. The way I see it, it couldn't hurt to apply to BOTH Nevada & Utah.
Nevada has less states that honor their CCW permits. Why not just add one more state while the permits are still available.
    Just a thought!

    Welcome from Texas!
It couldn't hurt to have some extra coverage for your CCW.

I definitely will! With the current political climate it would make sense to do that. There is no way of knowing when things will be changing in the future. As it is now I'm stocking up on ammunition from my various firearms before they are banned or taxed to death.
It will only cost around $165.00 to apply for both the NV & UT.

    Another Washington welcome.

No reason not to apply for both. Go for it.

I tend to agree with you. As much as I will probably never need all that coverage I might as well apply for both state permits. The plus is that Utah normally approves CCW permits in less than 2 months. That's less than the 4 months Nevada lists on their CCW application

Thanks for the welcome! I've never considered applying for a CCW permit until this recent election. This election changed my entire way of thinking with regards to the CCW laws. I'm not going to be one of those people who waited until it was TOO late.

    Welcome

I recommend getting any CHP, which you think you might need and can afford.

For the time being NV/UT/FL are the 3 states my class honors from here in Vegas. I can see applying for both NV/UT CCW permits. Florida has a great deal of the same coverage Utah covers. This might be something that I should consider as well.
