New in Louisiana

Hello,
I just bought my first firearm today, a Taurus Millennium Pro 9mm. I can't wait to bring it to the range and try it out.

Wondering if anybody has any tips and pointers for a new gun owner? I've already read the 10 commandments. :)
I will be taking the CC class sometime in the next couple of months, when I can find the time.
