Well, I'm home from my last day at the SHOT Show and I hit every magazine distributor there and gave them your address John. I was told that you will be getting stuff from them. Let us know if you do.

    ::Gracefully bows::

It was the least I could do. I also picked up quite a few magazines while I was there, they'll be going out as well. (Well, as soon as I finish them of course )

I almost forgot, while I was at the Primemedia booth I was given a website by them to go to. We can all do for other troops what we have done for John. Check out the website. Subscriptions 4 soldiers. https://store.primediamags.com/soldier2/

Not a bad deal and you get to support the troops morale.

They give you BULLETS?!?!? Heck, they used to make us guess who had it!

But then, in those days, EOD had a bar in every unit....... Or was that a unit in every bar!

    Betty,
Thank you they will be much appreciated.

    BigEd63,
    Thank you.

    PatrioticRick,
Thank you I appreciate it. I hate to think of you sending those mags without reading them or atleast looking at the pictures! Seriously though I really appreciate the thought and that was very kind of you.
Easy Rider.... I don't know. One of my buddies really likes motor cycles. I'm not sure whether it's a no, no or not. I am being told that they sell them stateside at the PX, so I would ass-u-me that there are OK. I'll ask 'The Man' latter and see what I can find out.
    Again thanks a lot.

    acparmed,
Sounds like a plan.... I appreciate it. Thank you.

    OD,
    Thank you.

    Everyone else....
If I havn't responded to you directly, then I am sorry. I am reading every post, and I really appreciate the warm welcome and the fact that everyone seems to bending over backwards.
I honestly never expected this kind of response. It's kind of a shock, a nice one.
Again, thank you very much and take care.

    Iscurrier,
Thank you, and God Bless you.

    CLASS3NH,
Thank you. I think we are good to go on gear right now, but I will keep you offer in mind, thank you.

    Bumper,
    Thank you. I appreciate it.

    World Pax,
Boxes.... I have no idea. Ah, Rick got it. Thanks to you both.

    acparmed,
Thank you. This is really growing. I will see about getting these magazines spread out. I travel a lot, and will do my best to get them to people that will read them, and not just sitting around collecting dust. Even if that means sharing with..... the 101st. Ugh.
I've got to go.... duty calls.
    Thanks.
    Take care,
    John

    What about the women serving?

OK, don't rag on me about this! I mentioned getting some gun/car/biker mags from my brother and father (no problem) and my mom asked what about the women serving over there? She has some mags she wants to send, such as cooking mags or Family Circle, Redbook, etc. She said even though they are soldiers, they are still women and might like to have them. So, John, what's the word? I learned a long time ago never to argue with mom!

We only have only a few women in my unit. However, there are many here on my camp. I can see what I can do about getting such magazines distributed. I don't know how successful I would be though. Might be wise to send only a few such magazines until I can figure out if there is any interest. If you send them, I will try to get them into hands that will read them.
    Thank you and take care,
    John

PS. I've been caught more than a few times reading such magazines.... but don't tell anyone I'd hate to ruin my reputation as a 'hard core shooter guy'.

PSS. My room mate is asking about Rolling Stone, and guitar magazines.
    Thank you and take care.

OK John, got the package sent out today, weighed 11lbs, I had to get my moneys worth with that flat rate, so I stuffed it full of sh--. Any Texans fans out there? You'll see why when you get the package LOL. Let me know when it gets there, so we can see how fast USPS is. Enjoy and remember to share

John....I'm sorry I hadn't noticed this post before!

Send me a PM and let me know whatcha (and your troops) need.

I do my second OIF deployment this year (or possibly OEF....not sure which yet) so I know the value of getting stuff from folks back here in the U.S.

Take care, God Bless and be safe!
