I used to be quite a liberal toad when just out of college, but a couple of years on the street wearing a badge cured all of the liberal right out of me.
Also I worked over in Oakland a few years ago.... actually I think it was Watts... had never been in a Mcdonalds that had bullet proof glass before. Had to slide the food trays under the window through a slit... just like in a prison.... now that was an eye opener!
