Greetings from Michigan!
I stumbled upon this forum about a month ago as I began thinking about applying for a CPL. I found a number of sites around but this one has loads (pun intended) of good information on it and from what I have read thus far, a seemingly great group of folks! Thanks to whomever was responsible for getting this off the ground.
I have been around firearms since I was a young boy (I am now 38) but have only recently begun thinking seriously about carrying one on my person. I took my CPL course a week ago Saturday and sent in my application on Monday. If all goes as planned, 6-8 weeks from now I will not only be a card-carrying member of the CPL club but will no longer be forced to keep my arm in shape and ready to throw rocks at 1000 fps! Since this is primarily a "meet-me" thread I will save the details and deeper thoughts for another day and another thread. However, I have four very good reasons for wanting to carry. I could tell you, but I'd much rather show you!
