    Hey!

    Hey Everyone! I just joined because all my google searches to learn about my gun and shooting came back to this forum.
    I first shot a gun with my EX-husband a few years ago. Only shot twice (two different days not pulled the trigger twice) but he was surprised how good I was and I was surprised how much I liked it. Guns/shooting is soo far from the norm for me but I crave it and miss it. So I decided no better time than now. I also figured since I was gonna own a gun I should get my permit in case I want to carry it. So...I guess I'm the one person in florida trying to get their permit NOT because of the economy or policies/laws that might get changed due to our new president but just for funsies (and protection and all that serious stuff.)
    On monday (3/23) I drove to a local gun shop, nervous as heck but I went in........alone. I pick up my new Glock 19 on Friday! So excited and I'm actually proud of myself for doing it! Next month I take my Gun class at the police station and hopefully 90 days later I get my permit.

    Now I just gotta save up for the Glock 26 I want and a pink gun...thinking Walther P22......YES I said it...................a PINK GUN *gasp*

    Congratulations on making the decision to be responsible for your own safety. If everyone would do that, there would be a lot fewer criminals running around. There is nothing wrong with a pink gun as long as you are happy with it.

    Congratulations on the new gun and welcome to the forum! Regardless of the reasons, shooting is a lot of fun, not to mention being essential in defending yourself. And, obtaining your permit is a good first step in having it available when you need it....

    I love my P22. Very cheap to play with and very reliable. Can't say that for the .22 ammunition I have used though. Seems no matter what brand I buy there is always 3 or more duds in the box (500rds). Keep it clean and it won't disappoint you. I bought the one that came with the laser. But they have good deals at my gun shop sometimes offering it with the standard barrel and the extended barrel with stabilizer. The laser made it look cooler though.
