Hello everyone. I'm a new guy here from Atlanta. I have had my CCW for about 4 days now. For some odd reason Georgia calls it a firearm license. I have 4 young children (9 and under) and one on the way and felt as though it was my duty to carry to protect them from the Bad Guys out there. We also do a good bit of hiking and camping, and frankly I feel a little vulnerable out in the woods with my pregnant wife and 4 little kids.
You guys have been an excellent resource. I have been lurking for a while and your insight has been enlightening. I also have to give a shout out to Nutnfancy on youtube. That guy does some incredible video reviews of guns and such. You can check him out here: YouTube - nutnfancy's Channel
So I have actually just purchased two new handguns. I have a Sig Pro SP2022 chambered in 9mm for home defense, and a Sig P229 chambered in .40 S&W for carry. I wanted both of my guns to have the same layout or "manual of arms" so that I can train my wife once and she can shoot either weapon. I have a GunVault Multi on order for bedside defense. I purchased a Galco SkyOps holster for when I need to tuck, and have a UBG Stiker 1 on order for the untucked days.
I am heading to the range to shoot tomorrow, so I'll report back on both guns.
Thanks again for all of your help. I hope to continue to earn a lot from all of you guys and gals.
