Hello. Sorry to say this for all who are waiting on your permit...I received my permit in the mail less than 12 hours after applying at the Sheriffs office. That was six months ago, been carrying my SIG P220 ever since. South Dakota does not have many restrictions, so about the only time I cannot carry is when I have to go to the school to pick up the kids.
