Quick update - I contacted my county clerk by e-mail and he responded early this morning.
He directed me to the same information that I found on numerous websites, including Small Armz. He told me to go to the court house in White Plains and get an application, which I am eagerly looking forward to, BUT...... In the attached reading I found that a prerequisite for Westchester County is a Safety Course.
Does anyone know if the trip to White Plains will be a waste of time and gas if I haven't taken a safety course yet? Can I apply and then take the course or does it have to be completed before an application can be processed?
I appreciate the help and all the welcome posts, this is a great forum and there seems to be a lot less of the smug, know it all, jump down your throat types than most others I've visited, keep it up
