Thank you all for the welcome. I'm surprised at all the places that post here. ( Glad to know there's lots of folks out there able (and willing, presumably) to defend themselves. I used to think I was one of the few who had CCW, now I know it is true that I was. Schools teaching that a piece of steel is "evil" and the criminal who uses it needs more "love and understanding," yet the peaceable folks who wish to defend themselves and have a right to carry are evil. Sorry, I don't follow that logic. As my fiancée's bumper says: Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than all my guns. [Mine says "I love my country, but I fear my government. Fear the government that fears your gun"
I sympathize with the Canadian gentleman who mentioned that he can carry in Utah, PA, and a few other states, but he can't carry in his homeland. I guess the wackos aren't restricted, in any way, to any state.

Welcome from South Carolina.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
