New member, New CPL, New pistol! Greetings from WA

Hello from the Seattle area! (Federal Way). I've been lurking around this forum for a few weeks and finnally got my CPL about a week ago! To top it all off I just picked up my HK USP compact today! (after a 2 month back-order). I grew up in Montana and have hunted all my life and own several rifles and a shotgun but this is my first pistol purchase. I got the bug for a USP a long time ago but I was able to get a great deal direct from HK since I"m a cargo pilot
($545 shipped) and that finnally pushed me over the edge! A friend of mine back in Montana taught me a little about concealed carry and planted the seed to do so (so here I am!) I also convinced another friend of mine to get his CPL last month and he's already done his wally walk! Now for a visit to the range when it stops raining and my own WWW!

Heres a pic of my newest "aquisition"

Welcome! I am new as well though I have had my CHL for some time.

A good holster to go with that gun is a Bianchi 82 carrylok. Rides a bit higher than you hip but it fits like a glove and has a lock lever that makes it secure (so your gun is more difficult to be taken from you when not expecting it). I have a couple of them for both my pistols and a shoulder rig, but really my carrylok is my fav.

Thanks! I will be in the market for a good holster - might be a few weeks though. I also saved a thread about holster suggestions for this same gun.

I'll also be glad to give a range report! Since I have not been much of a pistol shooter it'll probably be a little while before I can attest to its true accuracy tho!

    Welcome from South Carolina.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
