I am a follower of the "use your rights or lose your rights" school of thought.
I carry pretty much everywhere during my daily activities, thanks to our local Sheriff, only leaving it locked in the car during working hours (strict no weapon policy where I work).
While I generally prefer to maintain a low profile in town by concealing, for most outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, horseback riding, etc..) I open carry. I have never had a problem with this in my local area. If someone even notices, the usual comments are along the lines of "What are you carrying there?" or "That's a good idea. I didn't know you could do that here."
I have never had an issue while out and about where I considered drawing, and I hope I never do. I am, however, too attached to my friends, family and myself to trust our protection to someone else, so I will continue to go armed.
If anyone is keeping track or interested in personal bio stuff, I am a 28 year old male. I have had my CHP since I was 23. What I carry changes based on what I have been shooting the most.
