    Greetings From the Newest NG

    Just joined the forum and wanted to post the obligatory intro/info. I live in the Omaha area, where I retired from the AF four years ago & currently work as an AF civilian at US Strategic Command HQ. I received my carry permit in March after completing the academic and range work in late December 08/early January 09.

    I own a Taurus Judge (2 3/4" chamber, nicknamed "His Honor") that my wife got me for Christmas (yes, I know, she's a real keeper) and a .32 cal Walther PP factory reconditioned Niedersachsen Stadtspolizei issue that I bought in 1986 (first time I was stationed in Germany). I also own a number of rifles & shotguns and am enjoying finally having the time to go shooting more often than my active-duty career permitted.

    I'll look at the threads to pick out advice on carry holsters, but if anybody has a hint or link they want to share, I'm always willing to take the "lazy way out" I'm also looking for a safe/lockbox for my pickup (09 Dodge Ram 1500), so if anyone has advice or pros/cons to offer, I'm open to inputs.

    If you haven't noticed by now, I tend to be a bit verbose, so if this is longer than the "standard issue" introductory post, please bear with me and I'll work on trimming subsequent posts down. I am glad to join the forum and look forward to learning plenty from the group.

    Welcome from Ohio. What kind of holster were you thinking of, for concealment or just carry? That Judge is gonna be a tuff one to hide.
