I'm a fairly small framed fella, pushing 145-150, 5"10. And I'm not sure that even once I get my CCW (if this isn't a firearm you'd recommend to do so, please let me know) That my full size .45 will be able to be concealed on my frame.

Any info on that matter is greatly appreciated, and greetings from South Carolina!
    Welcome from Florence, SC.

A full-size auto like a 1911 or XDM does have challenges to concealment. However, please don't let that stop you from getting your CWP. (I went through with my XDM 40.)

Wearing a pair of oversize pants and bigger shirt is the first idea you need to get used to.

You will also need a good "Gun worthy" belt and a IWB holster that you can cant forward. I use either a "Crossbreed Supertuck" IWB holster or a "Smartcarry" deep concealment holster that tucks in the front. Both of these are good holsters. The "Supertuck" as the edge in quick accessibility and the "Smartcarry" offers the ultimate in concealability.

I hope this will help you.

Greetings from UT, and welcome to the forum.

My main carry is the XD45 5" Tactical Compact. Look into the supertuck deluxe from crossbreed holsters, it works great for me.
