Welcome from Kentucky, I used to live in Illinois so I can feel your pain when it comes to the backwards gun laws. However, since i've been in Kentucky I can suddenly breathe a little easier.......hmmm wonder why? haha.
Welcome from Deep Southern Illinois! I share your pain. I'm retired and spend the majority of my day on private ground with a handgun on me somewhere mostly due to rabid skunks and sick coyotes. About four events so far this year. The dog that goes with me everywhere I go has had his rabies shots but I haven't. And, as best I can tell, there ain't no innoculation for either of us for that smell!!
Welcome from South Carolina.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Expecting a carjacker or rapist or drug pusher to care that his possession or use of a gun is unlawful is like expecting a terrorist to care that his car bomb is taking up two parking spaces.-Joseph T. Chew
