New from NoVA
Hey, I'm new to the world of concealed carry, and I live in Northern Virginia. I find living in Northern Virginia with a CCW is a bit of a challenge. We have the same gun laws as the rest of the state obviously, but I feel like the attitudes of the people are different, and I'm super-conscious when I'm carrying, even though I think I do a good job trying to avoid printing or the like. Is this something that eventually goes away as you carry more often or am I doomed to either go without, or remained obsessed that "someone somewhere" might notice?
Of course the other problem with NoVA, is that I work in D.C, so 9 times out of 10 when I'm stepping out of the house I'm pretty much unable to carry.

Welcome from the Richmond area. Over time you'll find the "I'm being watched" syndrome disappears. Another good thing about VA is it is an OC state, so even if your printing, or inadvertently display your weapon you haven't broken the law. In time you'll realize that 99% of the people on the street wouldn't notice, even if you had a neon sign pointing to it.
