    New guy in NY

    Hi everyone,

    I found this site a few weeks ago, and I really liked what I saw.

    I've been shooting .45 for 30+years now and after a ten year "vacation" have decided to get back into it. Boy have things gotten expensive!

    My daughters' got me a membership to the only indoor pistol range here in Rockland County NY, and I can't believe how I missed shooting.

    I'm the proud owner af an Austin Behlert "full monty" make-over of a Colt Gold Cup, the entire pistol has been workde over and Chromalloyed, along with a real Colt .22 conversion unit.

    Used to shoot IPSC in New Jersey with Austin's son Frank and his daughter, whose name I forget, but do remember she was a looker.

    Currently, I don't hold a carry permit, NY isn't the most gun friendly state in the USA. But I'm trying like mad to get one no matter who I have to bribe or threaten (just kidding).

    I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who lives within driving distance of me and also those of you to be lucky enough to own one of Austin's wonderful weapons.
