No matter. As long as you like beer we have plenty in common.
    Ill drink to that!

Honestly I have nothing agenst Beretta, seeing that I never shot a Beretta handgun. The only one I shot was a over/under Beretta shotgun.

    Another Beretta-head reporting for duty.

Although my favorite pistols are Berettas, and a Cougar 8040 is my primary CCW when clothing permits, my carry anywhere anytime piece is a Colt MustangII.

I spend a lot of time lurking on twincitiescarry.com which is a small pond compared to the ocean of CombatCarry.com. Looks like a terrific forum.
Thanks to srfl for pointing me here. Looking forward to participating and learning.

Hey welcome Beretta1526! We "talked" (e-mail) a time or two haven't we. I'm still lookin' at the SF U2. I probably will stick with the Gladius for now; I'm strongly considering a PVS-14 NOD for my CX4, well and ARs.

I'm a little frustrated with Beretta right now, as it seems several are. I want a back up Beretta for my 92 Vertec, but the 92 is out of production, the Vertec is out of production, the M9A1 isn't available yet, the PX4 is available but uses different mags than the 92 series. So I'm kinda stuck.

Actually, only a few of the 92 models are no longer in production. For the most part it's still produced. The M9A1 is available, Brad Taylor had a couple, and there's a dealer in PA that's got a couple right now. Yes, the PX4 uses different mag's. The new mag's have a heck of a capacity though.

Beretta needs another compact 9mm. There's a lot of people hoping for one.

Welcome Garg! I have a Beretta M92FS that I sometimes use in IDPA matches and once in a blue moon it may ride my hip on an evening out with my family. I'm usually a Sig or H&K guy, but I'd never feel "outgunned" with my M92! I always carry a sp 15rd mag, too. I wouldn't call myself a Beretta addict...maybe just a recreational user. lol

Hmmm, a Beretta rep told me on the phone just yesterday that the M9A1 would not be out until later.

As for capacity, I have 17 round mags that fit exactly flush for my Vertec, and a 20 round that sticks out a bit. Do the PX4 mags hold more than that?

I just did looked at Brad Taylor's site and he didn't have a M9A1 listed. I also did a search on his site and nothing showed up for M9A1. They could have sold, of course.

Beretta Addicts Rule #1: NEVER trust a BUSA Rep!

Brad had the M9A1's, but couldn't sell them and took them elsewhere. EagleTactical has them listed now (listed as M9 with Rail, I think?), but BUSA priced themselves out of the market. The things are going for $650 to $800, which is too high for what it is. If you are just going with the M9A1 because it is the only they still claim to make, don't. E-mail Brad (or I will) and tell him what you want.

Standard flush fitting PX4 mag holds 17 rounds and the 20 round mag extends down a bit.
