New to guns and ccw- St. Louis

Hey everyone. I took my ccw course a few months ago and have been taking my time renting different 9mm's at the range, testing which ones I do and don't like, as well as refining my skills. I grew up shooting bb guns and 22's but never handguns.

Right now I'm leaning towards an XD 9 subcompact but that could change depending on what else I find. I am also a fan of Glock 19 and a Sig 250, but both of those are a lil large for what I'm looking for, which is a gun I can hide as well as have a day of fun with at the range.

I have a toy car (single turbo Supra) and grew up on the water (you name it, I do it on or under) but guns are a different direction, so any tips and tricks are welcomed!

    Welcome from St. Louis!

Finding the handgun that is right for you may take some time. I tried several. Now I have a collection. All of the handguns you mention are ones I own or have owned. There are plus's and minus's to each.

I sell of these and many others. Contact me for prices.

Welcome Aboard from down Georgia way!

You really seem to be on a good track on finding what you need. The G19 and P250 are good sidearms and not too particularly difficult to 'hide'away'. The smaller Glocks, Kahar's, XD's, etc would be wonderful choices as well. Take a look at some of the holster and "how-to" carry threads here and figure out which method of carry fit's you and that may help your decision somewhat.

    Again, Welcome aboard!

Welcome from South Carolina...Be sure and try the Glock 26.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
