    New from Los Angeles County

    Hey All,
    I've surfed across this forum many times in the last few years and decided to join yesterday because I really wanted to read some posts and couldn't get to them without an account. I don't CCW because frankly I'm 27, live in Los Angeles County and don't think it's even a possibility for me, just based on what I've read and heard (basically that it's very hard unless you're a gunsmith or a jeweler etc), despite one or two potentially qualifying attributes (just not sure if they would be good reason). I am however very interested, and pro-gun. Growing up in some of the not-so-good parts of town, as a kid I had a gun pulled on me on two occasions. As an adult, it almost happened but I didn't stick around to find out (I'll probably post this situation in the "what would you do" section). I work in I.T, and have done so for the last 10 years but am an aspiring LEO as I have a burning desire to do something that makes a more meaningful contribution (for me) to society. I've got 4 kids, I'm married and like learning more about many aspects of self protection when I'm not working, in school or of course being a dad. Thanks to everyone contributing to make this forum a great one, I'm certainly impressed with it and hope to contribute also.
