    Missouri is actually an open carry state.

    You just need to be carefull of what county, city, town or village you intend to carry open. Most of Missouri is open carry, especially rural areas. It is not legal to carry open in most large cities or any small towns that have adopted local ordances prohibiting open carry.

    Even with a CCW it can be hit or miss just from one area to another. We have the Castle Doctrine in place thought so you can legally carry a handgun,rifle or shotgun openly and loaded on the front seat of your car, in most cases. Your car is essentially an extension of your domain.

    If you carry on a site of more than 10 acres, open carry is legal.

    You might though need to convince the State Patrol or other local authorities.

    It would be advisable to check with the LEO's first.
