    This year we in Brasil are going to have Presidential Elections. Depending on the results i think I'm going to start looking out for a job at U.S.A.

    I Know we can't discuss Polictis in this forum, so, if anyone wants to know what is happening here just P.M. me.

    Ps: I'm a Police Officer since 2008 and still working with a revolver c'ause my police departmente haven't enough pistols. Can you believe?

    I can answer that one: No, that's not true. Civilians CAN'T own "military" calibers (the 9mm in particular), but they can own most other calibers. Carry is restricted a bit further, but I know that .380 is also on the list. When I shot IPSC down there, the most common caliber was .40S&W, and this was also a common police round (at least with the "state" police in the Federal District.
