Wait a minute, I thought Canada was a gun free zone!

How can this happen? The Victims were protected by the law.

    I can't believe it.

Canada we're told is safer than the United States because of their No Guns Policy.

There is no hope for us here in the Wild West of Decadent Texas.

Will they ever wake up and see the writing on the wall?
Or in this case blood on the floor. No Guns, No Survival.
When you Outlaw Guns, then only the Outlaws will have guns.
    And you're all targets.

A terrible tragedy but yet another example of how delusional people everywhere still believe that banning guns will stop gun crimes. I know it falls on deaf ears but criminals, bad guys and crazies don't obey laws, no matter how many are made and passed. When will they ever learn?

    The story from above...

Two men are dead and another is severely injured after a man walked into an Edmonton car dealership Friday and opened fire.

Police were called to Great West Chrysler in Edmonton's west end, where shots rang out shortly before 8 a.m. as customers were dropping off their vehicles for servicing.

Later, police officers found two men lying dead inside the dealership.

One of the dead men is believed to be the gunman. He has been identified as David Burns, a former employee of the dealership, CTV Edmonton's David Ewasuk reported.

A third shooting victim was taken to hospital, Edmonton police Insp. Denis Jubinville said.

The deceased shooting victim has been identified by friends as Garth Radons. His wife is an Edmonton police officer and she was among the first responders to arrive at the crime scene on Friday morning.

Autopsies on the two deceased are expected to take place next week.

One report said Burns had been recently fired from the service department over racial slurs against several of his co-workers.

A former friend said Burns had strong personal views.

"He was a very passionate person," said friend Corey Kruchkowski. "He felt very strongly about what he believed and if you didn't follow what he felt, he'd let you know."

According to former co-workers, Burns had a swastika tattooed on his arm.

Officers have been interviewing customers and employees at the dealership, Jubinville said. Forensic investigators were also at the scene.

"We are working with management right now to assist them," Jubinville said. "Obviously this is not the kind of scene we deal with every day. A lot of people within are shaken up."

One woman whose husband dropped off his truck at the dealership shortly before the shooting said there was at least one shot fired inside the dealership's service department.

Most of the police vehicles at the scene were clustered around the dealership's service bays.

Police said several employees and customers are helping with their investigation.

Employees in nearby businesses heard a steady stream of emergency vehicles racing by.

"There's a ton of emergency service vehicles and police," said West Harvest Inn general manager Lillian Pushar.

Todd McLeod, an employee at the Chrysler dealership who arrived after the shooting, said the company has seen layoffs recently, but those were kept very quiet.

Few employees would have been around at the time of the shooting and likely no customers, said McLeod, who hasn't been allowed back to work yet.
