Glad he was "home" were he could have a gun and use it.

Good thing it was not a carjack where he'd be disarmed by Maryland Law.

i agree, if their barrel is already aimed at me, then theres no time to talk.

BUT what if he lied to officers that he told them to stop so that way he wouldnt be liable for murder or something?

I would have had to make up the "drop the gun" line to the police....cause my ruger would have spoke first.
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
    1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man

Maybe he was getting his "loot" for the BG and came back with the gun. Don't care how he did it, just the the GG came out above ground.

I wouldn't have bothered to tell him to drop his gun.

How we behave as gun owners is important. Posturing and threatening does not serve us well in the public eye.

I'm thinking the BG might have been using a toy gun. Either that or inexperienced with crime and not actually ready to shoot someone (and didn't figure the homeowner could or would shoot him!)
Anti-gunners seem to believe that if we just pass enough laws, we can have utopia. Unfortunately, utopia is NOT one of our choices.

Wow, 29 and Marvin qualifys for early retirement!
I'm thinking the old man either waited too long to defending himself by trying to hold a conversation with Mr. Cook ,or he's real lucky he is a good story teller.

Maybe poor old Marvin didn't come well prepared for the swift completion of his job that morning.

Either way, the Taxpayers are happy!

Sad it comes to this. The old man is not going to sleep for weeks, unlike Marvin who gets to see Jesus in the Court of Eternity.

I wonder too about certain parts of that, but in this case there is only "one witness" and forensics, which won't say anything about who said what. Glad it was the right one alive to tell the story.
