Burglar shot to death - KRMG Local News on krmg.com

TURLEY, Ok. - A Turley man shot a burglar that he allegedly found in the act of looting his house. Tulsa County Sheriff's Captain John Bowman says the man was shot just before ten last night. Bass says, "Burglar was carrying a sword that belonged to a homeowner. Approached the homeowner. That homeowner told him to stop, pulled out his gun. The guy didn't stop. Shot him." Bowman says the homeowner had a permit to carry the gun and was not arrested. The name of the dead man has not been released.

The perp brought a gun and a long long knife to a gun fight. Luckily, the idiot chose to lead with the long knife and he lost.

Bowman says the intruder then reached for a gun in his pocket, so the homeowner fired two more shots, striking the man in the chest, killing him

A man with a sword is a very dangerous foe, good work from the homeowner!!!!!

I guess the criminals have their "ninjas" too.

Since when do you need a permit to carry a gun in your own home in Oklahoma?

Wow...I think they'll take this reporter's card away and send him to the NYT for remedial training.

That is the most biased reporting I ever saw, since when is a criminal supposed to get shot,I bet OSHA jumps in and does a study on how to help prevent this type of work related Injury in the future

They always report that when it's not necessary. Just like when a man has a gun in his car in FL. You don't need any permit for that, but the media always reports "the man had a permit". Liberals I guess.

In all cases mentioned there was a legitimate threat to the life of one or more persons. I don't need any more reason to fire my weapon if I am able.

Just like a Smith & Wesson always beats 4 aces, a .357 Magnum beats a sword.
