I think Mi. no CC laws are the underlying cause of this type murder, the pizza delivery man had no way to defend himself.
NOT LIVING IN FEAR, JUST READY!!!
Michigan is a "Shall Issue" state and we have seen record numbers of CPL applications.
I think that Pizza company's "No Firearms" rules are the biggest factor.

But they probably do prevent them from protecting themselves!!!Collins says delivery people don't carry a lot of cash, but there isn't much managers can do to prevent violence against their employees![]()
We've had a bunch of pizza delivery guys get robbed in my neck of the woods. It's a shame. Who woulda thunk being a pizza delivery guy would be this dangerous. C'mon guys....lets get some inspirational stories on here....ya know... "Would be robber takes a hollow point to his forehead"
Flint is a 'cesspool' of dirtbags looking for trouble...![]()
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

Sad....this is one of the comments, it seems that Little Ceasar's won't let their employees carry concealed.
Remember the Little ceasars Driver who worked at The Bristol Rd Store? Well He Shot and Killed his would be robber. Seems he was carrying His CPL and Licensed to Carry it. Well All the Friends of the DEAD Robber Called the Franchise owner and Demanded that he Fire the Driver, Or they would Never Buy another Pizza ( The Hot and Now $6.99) You Guessed it... The BOSS fired the Driver and told all the other Drivers That NO CPL will be honored by Him... Carrying a pistol meant Immediate Suspension. Now Tell me the LITTLE CEASARS Cares about its Employees

Now that's real sad. My prayers go out for his family.
Well, there's a way to change that. Pappa John's, Pizza Hut, etc.
If LC does not sell anymore pizza they will get the message very quickly. It would also help if all of their deliver people would just quit. I know this is hard to do in today's environment, but if a job is going to get me dead, I don't need it.
Anyone who works alone (Pizza Delivery, Taxi Driver, etc.) is at risk of this type of crime.![]()
There's State Law, and then there's Company Policy. Death hangs in the balance.
I wouldn't advocate violating State Laws... But a company policy? hmmmm

"The gun is the great equalizer... For it is the gun, that allows the meek to repel the monsters; Whom are bigger, stronger and without conscience, prey on those who without one, would surely perish."
I think robbers are robbers. I know better than to delude myself into thinking that because I live in a CCW state that suddenly robbers will start quaking in their boots.
Yep I talked to a Detroit LEO a while ago and his opinion is that the criminals are simply getting more brutal as a result of CC laws. Instead of attempting to carjack you by showing you a gun a yelling "Give me the keys!" they just shoot first, drag you out and then take off.
It pays to be alert at all times...especially sitting in your car.
"Be justified. Blood may be easily wiped from the sword.
It cannot, however, be put back from where it came." --Quicksabre
That's not at all what I said.
When you have actually met thousands and thousands of criminals you come to realize they don't tremble with fear over the prospects that you may be armed or not. Getting hurt or going to jail is just part of the job's risks.
Every single day we read about people's doors being kicked in by home invaders, or armed carjackings. Many of these take place in CCW states. That's reality.
Many, if not most, criminals operate on a risk/reward basis. It may be an unsophisticated one when it comes to street thugs, but it's still there.
- If bank tellers were armed, banks would still get robbed.
- If 7-11 clerks were armed, 7-11s would still get robbed.
- If pizza delivery guys were armed, pizza delivery guys would still get robbed.
- Armored car guards are visibly armed, and they get robbed.
- Banks with armed guards got robbed.
- Stagecoaches with shotgun guards got robbed.
- Trains with armed guards got robbed.
- Heck, there are at least two gun stores (L.A. and Tampa area) where armed gun store employees were, get this, robbed at gunpoint.
The possession of a concealed weapon, with the element of surprise that goes with it, may be your single greatest advantage when that awful moment arrives for you.
I think we live in the best of armed citizen times (in CCW states). If all citizens were armed, criminals would adjust their model of how they do business. They would still do their business but there would probably be an increase in gun down murders and robberies. Now, they have the general mindset that they are the ones who are armed, so they approach their taks with that mindset and that can often work out well for us. Because we are carrying that ace up our sleeve.
