There are mistakes, and then there are mistakes. Somebody should be looking for a new job over this.

I personally dont blame the guy if he was upstairs asleep and they yelled "Police, search warrant!" then kicked/rammed/shotgunned the door during the breach (which is loud), there is a big chance that he didnt hear them and his protective instinct kicked in. Its fortunate that no one was killed, and yes im a firm non-believer in no knock warrants, unless the proper people channeling the information to the entry team are 199% correct

They may have shouted police, maybe the Guy was sleeping it was 0046. I do not hear people talking if they are outside My house. But if My door gets kicked in I think that would wake Me. Glad no one was killed. Two adults and six kids, it could have been bad.

I do not care if I do hear them yelling "POLICE SEARCH WARRANT"....I have done nothing to warrant a middle of the night police assault so the probability is at least equal, probably much greater, that it is a group of home invasion BGs using the "POLICE" scam to gain control of me and they will be greeted by more than bird shot.

I would not hear them yelling "POLICE" outside my house door, I would if they kicked the door down'..... and I bet they would be met with a gun in my hand. Knock on the door real well, then identify ..... may save some headaches and heartaches.

With all those resources... there's no excuse for geting the wrong house!
