    Martin Richardson Clobbers Robber Azar Sulman In Raid At William Hill Bookmakers In Burley, Leeds | UK News | Sky News

    Hapless Azar Sulman is pictured waving a gun at Martin Richardson after raiding a William Hill bookmakers in Burley, Leeds.

    He threatens to shoot the 20-stone rugby player and demands he opens the door for him to hasten his escape.

    But Mr Richardson, a judo expert and father of Leeds Rhinos star Ryan Bailey, refuses to budge and grabs a chair instead.
    This is the line that made me laugh.

    Mr Richardson told Sky News Online: "I wouldn't normally open the door for anyone anyway, let alone a robber.

    "So what if he had a gun? He was very impolite and I don't take kindly to that."

    My thoughts exactly. As soon as I realized this took place in the UK I started looking for the list of crimes the victim would be charged with. Nice to see that wasn't the case this time, and hopefully that becomes the norm rather than the exception.
