    Camera saves Cabbie

Camera saves cab driver's good name. [VIDEO]
False allegations get caught on film accusing Cabbie of molesting some "adult" females.

The bad this is the cop let them off. Cabbie is going for $60k damages which I think he should get from each one. If it wasn't for the camera, his life would have been ruined!!!

People suck. Glad the camera was rolling and allowed the truth to come out.

I believe that I would persue charges being brought...there must be a way to put pressure on the system to do so. Media help perhaps?

I believe every word he's stated about what would have happened to him had there been no camera.

He should sue them and he should win damages, and hey should have been charged with theft of services too (cab).

It's getting to the point these days where having a personal recording device on your person or in the midst pays.

If I was a cop I would have had them write a sworn statement how he molested them, and then charged them with filing a false police report

"Police decided to close down the case saying their wasn't enough evidence either way" ?

    1. They illegally smoked in his cab, per the newscaster thats a $500 fine and against the law. Thats one charge thats proven by the dash-cam.

    2. They stole services. They received a cab ride in wich they didn't pay. Second charge.

    3. They cursed at him, isn't that in some states legally considered harassment? If so, third charge.

    4. Slander? False police report? They lied about an attempted molestation. And they have them ON FILM claiming they were molested. Another charge?

I hope he gets the money!

Reminds me of another story...about 10 years ago I was getting a cab ride home from AJ's in Destin. It was a van and a group of four guys (mid 30's, good ole boys, wearing golf type clothes) asked if they could share the cab since my stop was on the way. I said sure, no problem. On the way, they started smoking weed in the van. They asked the cabbie to stop at their hotel to so they could get coke (he didn't). They then passed the joint up front to me, I declined but the cabbie took a hit. We get to my house and he tells me I owe him $20. I laugh. I told him no way in the world I was going to pay a cabbie who smoked dope on the way to my house. Then I asked if he was going to call the cops. He started to go ballistic but then the other four guys, who saw a potentially bad situation, fell all over themselves to tell the cabbie they'd pick up my tab. Smart move.

And yes, in hindsight, I regret not tipping off the Okaloosa Co Sheriff about this guy as soon as I walked in the house. I didn't always think about things like that back then, though.

I agree the girls should have been charged.

The sad thing is that they're damaging the credibility of women who are victims of sexual assault.

Since stories like this pop up ever so often, I wonder what the percentage is of true versus false claims of sexual assault. Am I wrong to ponder this?

Therein lies the crux. This puts doubt in the minds of the people. This could introduce doubt in the minds of jurors wherein a bad guy gets off and a lady, girls W/E gets hurt and doesn't get justice.

The cop should be fired and the girls should be charged. This angers me greatly!
